Senior Technical Project Manager

Location: Dublin (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: €80,000 - €90,000, depending on experience

A rapidly growing technology company is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex hardware development programmes. This is a key role in a high-tech engineering environment, driving projects from early design through to validation, certification, and production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of hardware engineering projects from concept through to production release.

  • Manage schedules, roadmaps, budgets, and resourcing for multiple workstreams.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, firmware, manufacturing, test, and supply chain.

  • Monitor progress, track dependencies, and ensure key milestones are achieved.

  • Work with external partners, suppliers, and test facilities to support development and certification activities.

  • Identify risks and issues early, implementing mitigation plans and escalating when required.

  • Prepare project updates, presentations, and reports for senior leadership.

  • Support design reviews, programme gates, and engineering change processes.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry, quality, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related field.

  • 7–10 years’ experience managing technically complex hardware or product development projects.

  • Strong understanding of hardware development stages — from prototype through to production readiness.

  • Background coordinating cross-functional engineering teams in high-tech sectors (e.g., robotics, aerospace, automotive, advanced hardware).

  • Experience managing risks, project budgets, multiple priorities, and technical dependencies.

  • Skilled in using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar platforms.

  • Knowledge of industry compliance or certification frameworks is an advantage.

  • Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and a proactive, structured working style.
